Bandit, the African Grey, and all his toys

Bandit is a Timna African Grey, a little guy compared to the likes of the larger parrots such as macaws and Cockatoos.
But these rascals rank as some of the best imitators around. They are known to have a tremendous vocabulary especially when exposed to people, children and other animals.

They are known to be so good at imitating microwaves and telephones that you are always fooled.

I've opened the microwave thinking there was something in there, done, or answered the phone when it rang and rang. That darn bird.

Bandit is almost four years old and he takes long car trips with his owner, visiting friends and family. He has been traveling since he was young so he knows his way around. He's been house guest trained.

Though, Bandit has been exposed to many new things, toys, cages, perches, people, etc., he still has some issues. Birds, known for flight and fight, can get certain ideas in their minds that objects or people are "scary" and unappoachable. It doesn't matter how much money you spend on the toy.

The items pictured above are considered by Bandit to be "very scary things." (I don't know, they look cute to me, maybe it was the lighting.)
